Mission & Approach
Our Mission
Chess A2Z’s mission is to expand access to high-quality chess education and community opportunities for young players of all backgrounds.
Our Approach
At Chess A2Z, we take a student-first approach. Every player’s journey is different, and we aim to meet students where they are—whether they are just discovering the game or working toward higher-level competition. Through thoughtful mentorship, structured programs, and supportive environments, we help students challenge themselves, learn from mistakes, and grow at their own pace.
We believe the strongest chess communities are built on humility, respect, and inclusion. Wins are celebrated with gratitude, losses are treated as lessons, and everyone—regardless of age, rating, or background—is encouraged to keep learning. Chess becomes more meaningful when it is shared in a community that values effort, curiosity, and mutual support.
Access & Inclusion
Access and inclusion are central to our work. We place a strong emphasis on supporting girls, low-income families, and players from underrepresented communities. Through scholarships, outreach initiatives, and community-based events, we aim to reduce barriers and open doors to meaningful chess experiences.
